The Basements alternative comedy sensation the Burning Duck Comedy Club is teaming up with Danielle Ward (Host of the Sony award winning Do The Right Thing Podcast) to bring a new concept in live comedy to York, every Last Tuesday in every month.

Every monthly show will be headlined by and feature the best established and your new favourite acts, some of whom you might have already seen on Radio, TV or winning awards at the Edinburgh and the Great Yorkshire Fringe festivals.

Alongside the funniest, or at least the most thought provoking local ‘up-and-coming’ musical, character, sketch, spoken word and stand-up comedy performers.

Not unlike our original nights held upstairs in The Black Swan used to be, except in a room twice as big, and with a stage and professional lighting and PA system (and not sponsored by Copper Dragon)

Danielle Ward is a comedian, musician and comedy writer.

A Time Out Award winner and twice Chortle Award nominee.

She created and wrote Radio 4 panel show ‘Dilemma’ , which was presented by Sue Perkins and ran for 4 series. In 2012, she won a Sony Award for her panel-based
comedy podcast ‘Do the Right Thing’, which is currently on its 6th series.
