Clay Fish Productions specialise in creating original and memorable live events. Working with a potpourri of artist, spanning genres such as music, comedy, poetry, magic, theatre and everything in between, Clay Fish Productions seek to bring something a little bit different to the program. For The Basement, Fish Clay Productions organise Cabaret in the Basement, a relaxed and friendly little variety show. Showcasing an assortment of acts, cakes, competitions and arts and crafts at your own table.

Well established promoters in Lancashire, Eat/Sleep/Events is now doing nights in York... The Eat/Sleep/Events team are only a small collective, but have a multitude of experience in the music & events industry, and have worked with names including Oceansize, Reverend & The Makers, Nine Black Alps, The Troubadours, Arctic Monkeys, Elliot Minor & The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster. We promote acoustic music, folk music, rock & anything a bit different and interesting. We also hold various other events from networking events to open mic nights to music festivals. A division of Eat/Sleep/Events, we are independent promoters who promote folk/acoustic/americana/roots/blues acoustic in the basement of the Picturehouses City Screen cinema complex, a lovely, intimate venue, affectionately titled The Basement.

Yorkshire's only weekly comedy club has been bringing mirth and merriment every Sunday since 2001 to the residents and guests of the city of York. The finest professional touring stand-up comedians are continually attracted and the list of who has played here reads like a who's who of British comedy.

Mr H is Tim Hornsby, who founded and booked Fibbers from 1992 until 2008, and The Duchess from 2008 to the present. 6000+ shows later and nearly a million music lovers through Stonebow House, he’s still at it with an eclectic mix of acts from folk to metal, blues to indie, jazz to acoustic, and everything in between, across several venues. Pretty much every act you see on the festival stages of the last ten years has been inked in the Mr H diary at some point. Tim’s Basement shows tend be acoustic/stripped-down/Americana/folk/country and he is always open to headline/support suggestions; unusual/original ideas also considered!

Please Please You is one of the hardest working promoters in York, having put on dozens of gigs since 2005, including The Sadies, Frightened Rabbit, Lovvers and Times New Viking.

Shattered Glass Media is a brand new UK based music webzine with a focus on alternative music. They also put on regular nights to promote the music they believe in.

A fortnightly Open Mic to showcase those with the creative buzz. For any kind of performer; poetry, comedy, musings, music, monologue and miscellanious. Guest headliners, up-n-comers and first-timers meet every other Monday during term time to take the stage! They are very open to any kind of performer getting in touch and having a go.
