The Folk/Acoustic Extravaganza presents... Fox North Coalition + guests
It has been more than a year since The Basement has played host to The Folk/Acoustic Extravaganza. It is high time for a new event!
Headlining will be Fox North Coalition. Previously called Fox 'n' North, Tim Fox and Vin North will be joined by a full band lending steel to their harmonica and guitar driven bluesy groove. These guys conjure up the spirit of the old-time delta sound, raw and grimy, yet shot through with longing and heartbreak, a true remedy for these disquieting times.
Andy Gaines has much pre-occupied by various Num Num projects, so it will be a great pleasure to hear his unique and incisive acoustic arrangements layered under a singular and engaging vocal.
Carissa Broadwater possesses a voice that might well have been passed on by the ghost of Janis Joplin, allied to songs that reveal more than just her Nashville roots.
Alastair Artingstall's music reflects his love of artists like Alison Krauss.
Tom Euesden's powerful and heartfelt songs will kick off the night.
