Shattered Glass Media presents Adelaide's Cape + Jess Gardham + Ridley Barbet + Travels By Telephone
A truly beautiful line-up of folky and acoustic music for a lovely relaxed Tuesday evening - grab a table, a pint and enjoy!
Adelaide's Cape is the folk work of Sam Taylor, a hard- working member of the burgeoning nu-folk scene coming out of London, a scene that has seen him touring with Alessi's Ark and First Aid Kit. His first release, the EP ‘Last Sleep In Albion’ is released via Dustbowl Records on March 8th.
Jess Gardham overlays a gentle strumming with her rich soulful voice which makes it clear why she lists both Lenny Kravitz and KT Tunstall as influences. Ridley Barbet brings a much more upbeat spin to the female singer-songwriter lexicon. Whilst classifying herself as indie-pop-folk there are clear hints of a ska mind at work behind the guitar parts on certain tracks that make Ridley stand out. Travels by Telephone is a very English gentleman not afraid to blaze his own path. He happily sings about whatever takes his fancy
