Please Please You presents Air Waves + The Horn The Hunt + Imogen Dow
Air Waves are from Brooklyn, NY and this is their first UK tour. They have been receiving rave reviews in the US having supported Cat Power, Beach House, Dan Deacon and The Rapture. The trio deal in a kind of rootsy, droned out indie pop with great songs and gorgeous vocals from singer songwriter Nicole Schneit. Elements of Neil Young and the Velvet Underground are evident as is the trademark sound of the wonderful Flying Nun label. Dan Deacon recently cited Air Waves as his current favourite band adding, 'The music she writes is like a favourite blanket wrapped around.' Great supports for this event too! Recommended.
