Jonjo Feather + Fawn Spots + Burning Fences + James McKay
Artrocker: "With the awkwardness of Beck, the slacker vibe of Girls and the kind of hazy yet dark ethereality that instants allies itself to a penchant for the shoegaze side of life, and Feather manages to craft...tracks that both weave their way around your consciousness like a potent but pleasant fog and still have a canny knack for a hook." In the live arena the band create a vibrant mystique, at once shy and brooding then bold and aloof. Jonjo uses his vocal instrumentally, teasing a husky drawl around the blurry snap of the distorted bass, sputtering guitar and keys.
Fawn Spots are fresh out of the forest. With only a couple of live shows behind them, this band have already created a buzz of anticipation; Crack In The Road: "Brooding, angry guitars over an unrelenting Blood Red Shoes drum base, this a passionate hark back to the late eighties, in the best possible way."
Burning Fences are playing their first gig.
James McKay is proof that protest can be poignant and tuneful.
